Permanent

Full time, 37 hours per week


Anglian Water offers a flexible approach, this role offers you the flexibility to work from home and from an Anglian Water office.

Your base location will be an Anglian Water site.

As a water company, Anglian Water has legal obligations around managing environmental quality. You'll join the team that work to meet environmental obligations.


It's essential that we work out where there could be water supply and demand issues, and look how the demand on our water supply will change in the future, all with the view of finding solutions to these issues.


Your primary focus will be to undertake modelling of our water supply and demand systems, for example modelling a new reservoir or new pipelines, in order for the team to analyse and determine which is the best solution.

What does it take to be a Water Resources System Modeller?

Degree in Geography/Environmental Sciences or other discipline relevant to water resources planning


System modelling experience or academic knowledge of:
Technical analysis of supply and demand datasets;
Programming skills e.g. VBA, R, Python
Report writing (for both internal and external audiences)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
You will be able to display initiative and be able to manage challenging workloads.
