    Description

    CXC are pleased to be working with one of the largest and fastest growing independent plant and tool hire companies in the UK, in their search for a Workshop Foreman.

    They are committed to supplying quality equipment, which is always in stock and their plant hire fleet is replaced every 12 – 18 months, ensuring customers are always hiring machines that are modern, efficient, and reliable.

    They are currently looking for a Workshop Foreman to be based out of their Guildford site.

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the workshop operations and oversee all items of tool and plant maintenance, repair and inspection.
    • Ensure the Guildford Workshop KPIS are met.
    • Oversee/be responsible for accurate stock takes.
    • Liaise with Transport to ensure Plant is available for any hires due the next working day.
    • Ensure any damage picked up at Off-Hire stage is charged out to the Customer.
    • Supervise the workshop Fitters and Yard staff.
    • Assist in the repairing, servicing, and maintaining of all tools and powered access equipment including electrical and hydraulic repairs, along with petrol and diesel engines.
    • Promote Health & Safety throughout the depot.
    • Attend breakdowns off site (as/when required).
    • Complete all relevant repair and service paperwork.
    • Participate in training programmes as required.
    • Order spares via our internal purchasing department.
    • Work closely with suppliers for warranty work.
    Required Skills/ Experience:
    • Minimum of 5+ years' experience servicing tools and powered access equipment.
    • Have an understanding of electrical, hydraulic and mechanical engineering.
    • Proven history of supporting a team of engineers/fitters.
    Hours of work are Monday to Friday 7am to 5pm

    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

    Pay: £30,000.00-£40,000.00 per year + Quarterly Bonus
