This is an exciting opportunity to join the Hampshire CAMHS administration team and work within the very busy Fareham and Gosport CAMHS Team.

This role is to provide administrative support and is vital for the smooth and effective running of the team.

To provide a comprehensive range of administrative services to the team.

To liaise with other departments and services and to respond effectively to enquiries from the general public, service users, referrers and other agencies.

To consistently deliver a client focussed service that promotes good customer service and effective working relationships


Excellent communication and listening skills are required for this role, along with organisational and problem-solving skills, IT skills, accuracy, flexibility, adaptability, and the ability to work as part of a team are all essential for this role.


Experience of working in an administrative environment and of dealing with confidential and sensitive issues is required, and experience of working in a healthcare setting and knowledge of medical terminology would be an advantage.


The Team Administrator will provide a full administrative service, having daily liaison with a wide range of staff at all levels and regular contact with people that use our services and their parents/carers, who may at times be distressed or angry.

You will be required:


  • To provide comprehensive and efficient administrative support to the team; this will include handling all aspects of correspondence, including processing referrals and dealing with telephone enquiries.
  • Liaise with other directorates and staff at all levels and with external agencies.
  • To act as a contact point for members of the team during office hours, responding appropriately in emergency situations by obtaining relevant information and liaising with organisations and persons involved.
