We are looking to appoint a Childcare Assistant to join our extended schools provision.

You will be part of a highly skilled and passionate team, who embrace a culture of professional growth, respect and trust.


  • Your key daytoday tasks would include:
  • Provide a safe and stimulating environment for all children.
  • Ensuring you provide a warm and caring atmosphere for the children.
  • Working as part of a team with shared responsibilities.
  • Keep up to date records.
  • Contributing to planning and delivery of activities.
  • Ensure the environment is stimulating and appropriate including layout, display of resources, displays and equal opportunities.
  • You will need:
  • At least an NVQ Level 2 or Equivalent in Childcare and Education or Playwork
  • A passion for working with children.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • The ability to use your own initiative.


Our Extended schools provision is open at present between the hours of 7.30 am to 9.00 am and 2.45pm to 5.45pm Monday to Friday during term time and 7.45am to 5.45pm Monday to Friday during the holidays.

The post is part time for 22.5 hours per week.


This post is over 5 days during term time but during holidays working patterns will be required to change and will be negotiated with the employee.

The successful applicant will be required to work 22.5 hours to be calculated at Grade 3.
