Food and Drink Supervisor

Location:
Dudley


Contract:
Permanent, 37.5 hours per week (peak) & 31.25 hours per week (off-peak)


Hours: 8.00 am pm


Pay rate:
£12.05 per hour

The Black Country Living Museum is seeking a customer-focused Supervisor to join the Food and Drink team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Museum front line, where you'll be helping customers transcend into the past by creating a seamless customer service experience.


What will you be doing?

  • Providing positive and inclusive customer service and management.
  • Supervising, motivating, and maximising the Food and Drink unit.
  • Proactively implementing sales promotions and targets within the team.
  • Supporting the Team Managers and undertaking some of their duties during their absence.
  • Maintaining daily stock levels and taking deliveries.
  • Contributing to the preparation of Museum events and corporate functions.
  • Using Museum briefing content to provide morning shift briefings.
  • Feeding target performance back to the team at the end of each shift.
  • Ensuring the team meets Museum standards, including adherence to our uniform policy/costume requirements.
  • Handing cash/ card payments and operating tills.
  • Handling visitor issues and queries in a professional manner.
  • Maintaining the highest standard of hygiene and health & safety.

What are we looking for?

  • Inclusive and confident people skills.
  • Able to respectfully and effectively supervise staff.
  • Experience delivering fresh & local produce.
  • Enthusiasm and or experience in offering highlevel customer service.
  • Flexible approach to work.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • A willingness to undertake Food Safety (Level 2), Health & Safety (Level 2), and Barista Training.
