Library Volunteer

Location:
Dudley, West Midlands

Time commitment:
One day per week (10am-4pm)


We are looking for volunteers to support our team with categorising, sorting, and shelving books in preparation for our 1960s Woodside Library development.


What will you be doing?

  • Categorising, labelling, and sorting through books
  • Moving heavy boxes of books between areas of the site
  • Cleaning, moving and shelving large quantities of books or similar items

What are we looking for?

We're looking for someone who:

  • Is passionate about or has knowledge of library work
  • Has a fair reading ability to help with sorting books into categories
  • Has good organisational skills
  • Is comfortable working in a team
  • Is willing to help move heavy boxes of books
  • Has a friendly and approachable attitude
  • Has enthusiasm and interest in Black Country heritage
  • Please note that, due to safeguarding, we are unable to consider individuals under the age of 16 at this time._
