The Anglian Water @one Alliance is a totally collaborative organisation made up of eight partner companies (Anglian Water, SWECO, Balfour Beatty, Barhale, Binnies, MMB, MWH Treatment, and Skanska) and an extended supply chain, delivering over half of Anglian Water's capital investment programme.

We are gearing up for our most exciting and challenging Asset Management Period yet, known as AMP8, this will see us deliver a programme of work larger than we've ever delivered before. What will you be doing as our new Lead Mechanical Engineer?

As a Lead Mechanical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in providing technical direction to our mechanical engineering team, focusing on water or water recycling non-infrastructure projects. Your expertise will ensure that designs are not only compliant with legislation and standards but also optimized for efficiency and sustainability.

A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours.

You will need to hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field to be successful in this role, and have proven experience in mechanical engineering, (preferably within the water sector). You have strong leadership skills with a track record of mentoring and developing junior engineers and have in-depth knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant engineering tools is essential as is excellent communication and collaboration skills.

You'll be comfortable making decisions (based on sound judgement) and be able to assess the impacts seeking views of others in a collaborative fashion. You'll conduct your work with integrity respecting others delivering on time.
