Here at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust we are looking for a Clinical Coder to join our wonderful Coding team, who are part of the Trusts Informatics Directorate.

We are looking for people who have clinical coding experience in an NHS setting, and you will hold the National Clinical Coding Qualification (ACC) or be working towards this.

If you are working towards the National Clinical Coding Qualification (ACC) you will enter at Band 4 level, and be fully supported to complete your studies, with progression directly to Band 5 on successful ACC status.

You will analyse and extract diagnostic and procedural information from electronic patient records, patient case notes and other computer systems and assign the appropriate codes.

The coded data is then used for comparative/planning purposes at both local and National level, Clinical Governance and Finance.
