The Product Coordinator role sits within in the Product and Design branch of the Chief Digital Office of Social Security Scotland.


Social Security Scotland's Product and Design branch is responsible for the maintenance and further development of the live benefit services being delivered to clients.

The team is multi-disciplinary and brings together a vast range of skills and expertise to ensure that clients are at the centre of the design and development of all continuous improvement activity.


Job description:


  • Work collaboratively with Product Leads and Product Owners to ensure they are supported in their responsibilities for managing further development of products and services and reporting activities for senior leaders.
  • Assist in engagement and communication with stakeholders by facilitating the scheduling, planning and outcome management of sessions.

  • Dependencies (RAID) logs, resource plans ensuring escalation practices are followed.
  • Maintain process and control documents, including plans and roadmaps.
  • Provide support to and maintain processes for audit, assurance, and compliance related activities.
  • Assist implementation of best practice by promoting and supporting the ways of working and agile methodologies adopted by the team.
  • Develop, coordinate, and manage team spaces on Confluence, Jira, and Miro
  • Carry out Secretariat duties for relevant meetings and team communications: coordinate members, manage distribution lists, record agendas and papers, manage actions, analyse, and report on outcomes.

  • 1. Excellent organisational skills, adaptable and able to deliver to agreed timescales and deadlines.
  • 2. Able to build professional relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • 3. Ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload in order to meet deadlines and to work effectively under pressure.
  • 4. Able to identify and source relevant information to produce concise, wellstructured and accurate written and numerical work
