Description

Our client based is Sandy is looking to recruit a Maintenance Assistant to join their dedicated maintenance team.

The role is varied, and responsibilities include lifting and shifting, repair work, painting, recycling paper, cardboard and metal and assistingother members of the team.

You would be site based in Sandy, with occasional visits to our client's warehouse in Bedford.

The role
The successful applicant will assist the maintenance team in office moves and refurbishments.

This will include moving chairs, desks and cabinets as well as repainting offices as part of an on-going maintenance program.

Weekly and monthly site inspectionswill be carried out around the site, and the results entered onto spreadsheets.

They will assist the maintenance engineer with building, plumbing and electrical repairs, and be competent in the use of power tools.

They should have a good working knowledge of health and safety.

Other responsibilities include maintaining outdoors areas including path and car park sweeping, cleaning bins and snow clearance when necessary.

They will also keep tools in good working order, and keep workshop areas, working compound and tool shed clean and tidy.
