Exciting Opportunities have arisen for a Registered Nurse in the Urology Assessment Unit/ D2east at Royal Gwent Hospital who are motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable with a passion for providing high quality patient care.

Full NMC registration is required for this role

We care for our patients 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and can consider a number of working patterns to support work life balance of our staff.

The urology assessment unit is an innovative stand alone assessment unit supported by the medical teams and urology advanced nurse practitioners. It takes patients from a variety of places, including GPs, district nurses, redirects from ED, AMU, SAU and MIU and urology outpatients

The urology ward is adjacent to the UAU and there are opportunities to work between the ward and assessment unit. Both the ward and assessment unit work seamlessly to provide quality care to urology patients

Experience in urology is not essential as a comprehensive training package will be available to provide you with the knowledge and skills required

Main duties of the job

Urology has established and well organised wards with excellent performance in multi disciplinary working and discharge rates. The directorate is looking for enthusiastic and motivated nurses who are keen to pursue a career within Urology, and be part of our venture.

Candidates are required to be flexible and reliable in their approach to work. In return the directorate will demonstrate a commitment to both personnel and professional development to the successful candidate.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally.
