    In this position, your main responsibility is to lead the Finance Function, ensuring accurate and timely reporting while overseeing key controls and risks. You will also assist the Head of Financial Accounts by identifying any gaps in accounting policies and controls, developing new ones, and ensuring their implementation. Another crucial aspect of your role is ensuring reliable compliance reporting within the financial control framework, across the group, and conducting regular risk register reviews. Your tasks will include reviewing balance sheet accounts objectively, resolving any issues with senior finance colleagues, providing necessary training and support, overseeing balance sheet account reconciliation within Group Finance, and supervising the preparation of financial statements. It's essential to foster a culture of continuous process and control improvement, which includes activities like process automation and identifying cost reduction opportunities. Additionally, you will offer ad hoc financial reporting support for business initiatives and projects.

    Learn more about you

    You should possess extensive experience in financial accounting and reporting, with a profound understanding of balance sheet issues and a proven track record in implementing effective controls. Your technical accounting skills should be exceptional, enabling you to tackle any challenge effectively. Flexibility and practicality are key attributes, as you'll need strong problem-solving and analytical skills to navigate complex issues. Building and maintaining relationships across all organizational levels is crucial, necessitating excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other IT tools is a must. Lastly, you must excel in managing conflicting deadlines, multitasking efficiently, and ensuring timely completion of all tasks.
