Description

Company Description:

The Jamie Oliver Group is the dynamic and diverse business that supports and delivers Jamie's commercial and campaigning vision.

We have creative teams who work on Jamie's award-winning books, TV and digital content; industry experts who develop Jamie's range of kitchenware, food products and partnerships; a passionate restaurant team delivering amazing dining experiences for our international restaurants; plus the campaigns team who lead the way on Jamie's ambitious goal to halve childhood obesity by 2030.

Every day is a bit different at the Jamie Oliver Group - we're always keen to try new ideas, we love working together and with other people, and we have an ambitious plan to change the world for good, through food.

We want to inspire individuals, businesses and governments to join us and make positive changes in the home, on the high street, at the workplace, in hospitals and in schools.

We're on a journey, but we're trying to do the right thing.

Position:

The Senior Food Stylist reports into our Head of Food Styling and works collaboratively with our other Senior Food Stylist to lead the styling of food and props for shoots, create, test and develop recipes and shoot concepts for books, TV, social media and commercials, as well as inputting creatively into other parts of the business, including inputting to the development of Jamie licensed products and packaging.

It's a creative role involving working with the wider Food Styling team to generate ideas to shape shoots based on briefs, often with Jamie, and test the feasibility of them, working closely with the directors and producers of shoots.

You will be organised, coordinating and managing budgets for food, equipment and props for shoots; selecting props, making lists of what is required and then delegating the collation of items to either the Assistant Food Stylist or any freelance Food Stylists.

As a food expert and voice of Jamie, the Senior Food Stylist will work with our licensing partner teams to feedback on products, considering, in conjunction with the Art and Food Development team whether it's on brand with Jamie Oliver in both colour and design, share design ideas and test products, and then show Jamie the output.

One day you may be attending live TV appearances, international live demonstrations or PR events with Jamie, styling and preparing food and props, another you could be in the office, playing a crucial role in the creative process for upcoming recipe books, creating recipe ideas and conducting recipe testing with our editorial team and before cooking alongside Jamie on shoots.

Requirements:

You'll have significant experience in leading food and props styling, having worked on TV programmes and filming content for social platforms.

A highly proficient cook with creative flair, you keep aware of market trends in food and will champion Jamie's food beliefs and live the brand.

Be forward thinking and innovative when generating ideas and with proven experience in writing and testing recipes, you have excellent writing capability and pay close attention to detail, important also for monitoring continuity on shoots.

We're a collaborative team and you'll lead the Assistant Food Stylists and any freelance Food Stylists by example but also work independently where required and remain calm under time pressure in potentially stressful cooking environments.

There will be times where we ask for flexibility and willing to work outside of standard office hours (including occasional weekend work and travel both in the UK and abroad).
