About our client:


Our client is a leading organisation dedicated to supporting young people with complex disabilities to live their lives to the full.

They provide personalised care and support to residents with a range of physical and learning disabilities, helping them pursue their hobbies, learn life skills, and lead a busy and active life.


Your Role:

As a Senior Support Worker with our client, you will be based at their long-term residence facility in Hereford. Your main responsibility will be to support the residents in living independently and achieving their full potential.

You will lead a team of care workers, ensuring a high standard of individualized care and promoting residents' personal independence.

Your excellent people skills will be crucial in creating a supportive and empowering environment.


Requirements:


  • At least two years of care experience, ideally with people with a learning and/or physical disability.
  • Level 3 qualification in health or social care, or a Level 2 qualification with a commitment to studying towards Level
  • Ability to work on a shift basis, including early shifts starting at 7am, late shifts ending at 10pm and 11pm, and alternating weekend working.

Responsibilities:


  • Ensure the highest standards of care and support are provided to residents.
  • Lead and supervise the care team, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
  • Administer medication and carry out associated duties in line with policy and procedure.
  • Liaise effectively with relatives and other professionals.
  • Contribute to staff appraisals and development.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including care plans and risk assessments.
  • Report significant events to relevant team workers and managers.
  • Promote community involvement and social activities.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and guidelines.
  • Undertake regular training and professional development.

£26,000.00-£27,400.00 per year
