Our client has a requirement for Support Workers to join their Community Teams supporting vulnerable people across the City of Sunderland.


They are a responsive team who visit customers in their own homes who may require care following a period in hospital or a decline in their wellbeing.

They will visit for a time limited period and assist to set goals to promote independence and confidence. They will also respond if the customer presses an alarm for support.


A full driving license is required -
A company vehicle will also be provided
The services operate a set rota featuring the following shifts:

Example:

  • 7am 3.30pm,
  • 1.00pm 21:30pm and alternate weekend working
  • We also require someone to work on our overnight team: 8:45pm to 07:30am for which there is an enhanced rate

It is essential that you have the following skills and attributes:

  • A positive caring outlook
  • Have excellent written and communication skills
  • The ability to work shifts (including evenings weekends and bank holidays)

Job Type:
Temporary contract

Contract length: 6 months


Salary:
£10.98-£14.64 per hour


Day range:

  • Every weekend
  • Monday to Friday

Shift:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 12 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Sunderland, Tyne and Wear: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:


  • Similar: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Enhanced DBS (preferred)
  • Drivers Licence (preferred)
