We're on the hunt for an someone who can support the Customer Brand & Engagement (CB&E) function to deliver our bold customer communication ambitions by ensuring we have robust and fit-for-purpose data.


We're looking for someone who is proactive, collaborative and has the drive to push the boundaries of how we work today.

Building cohesive relationships with stakeholders across the whole society is critical to succeeding in this role.

We offer hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days a week in either our Bournemouth or Swindon office for effective collaboration (or more if you prefer).

There will also be visits to other sites for workshop and planning sessions from time to time.


This role is part of our Enablement & Operations team - specifically working in the data part of the team.

Our job is to enable the communication experts across the function to deliver excellent customer communications and propositions, by ensuring they have the data that they need.


We're also key to reducing risk and remaining compliant, so ensuring the data we use is well governed and controlled is also a vital objective for the team.

What you'll be doing:

In this exciting and varied role, you'll be defining and driving forward the data strategy for CB&E.


What does that mean? Well, you could be mapping out our data sources to build a roadmap of key opportunities, or even working as part of a project team to capture and document data requirements for delivery.

As this is a new role there will be loads of opportunity to help shape our direction and add value from the start.

Building strong relationships will be key to succeeding in this role. You'll be working with and influencing various teams from across the organisation - sometimes with different goals and priorities. You'll work with each team gather requirements, extract their needs and document these for action.

As our strategy evolves, so will this role.

That's why we're looking for someone that can bring a fresh perspective and new ideas to help us deliver the most value.


About you:

You'll have a passion for strategy and transformation - with a good understanding of how data is critical in driving leading customer communications and experiences.


You'll be able to evidence skills in:


  • Planning and Strategy: How you've used your planning skills and process knowledge to define a clear roadmap of activity to drive forward priorities and formulate a clear strategy.

Process improvement: How you've used your knowledge to influence both technical and business stakeholders to push for better and improve processes.

Requirements gathering:How you've worked with multiple stakeholders to understand and document requirements, ensuring they're clearly defined, understood, and aligned to the business requirements.

Value focused:How you've worked with both technical and business stakeholders to explain what you are doing and why.

Whilst not essential, you might also have:

  • Experience working in customer centric role within financial services
  • Experience of working in business transformation programmes in a project environment
  • Experience in data management or data governance
