Milk Education is working in partnership with a supportive, secondary school in Sale, Trafford, that caters for students with moderate to severe learning difficulties.

This school are looking to recruit a Learning Support Assistant to work in their Nurtureclass to provide focused intervention for students with social, emotional and mental health needs which are creating a barrier to learning.

This role will be Monday-Friday 08:30-15:30 starting immediately with the possibility of being offered a permanent contractafter successfully completing a three month probationary period.

Job Responsibilities of a Learning Support Assistant:

To work under the direction of the teacher in small groups and on a one-to-one basis in a small nurture class
Create and maintain a purposeful, orderly and supportive environment, in accordance with the lesson plans and assist with the display of students work
Work closely with the teacher, to support students to achieve both their academic goals and social development
Monitor students responses to learning activities and accurately record achievement/progress as directed
Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on students achievement and progress
Have recent experience of working with young people or adults with special educational needs
Have two professional references within the past two years
Have full availability from February 2023 until July 2023
