Description
This post is based at Waverley Gate

NHS Lothian covers Edinburgh city, East Lothian, Midlothian, and West Lothian. We are the second largest health system in NHS Scotland and one of only four teaching Boards. We have strategic partnerships with local Universities, Local Authorities and our four Integration Joint Boards. We serve a population of 900,000, providing a range of primary, community based and acute hospital services. We also provide regional and national services across a range of clinical specialties.

The vision for the Pharmacy & Medicines Service is to deliver clinically led, person-centred services to ensure patients across Lothian get the best from their medicines and pharmacy services.

We are focussed on creating an environment where each person in the team has the opportunity to flourish, develop and make best use of their skills.

Due to recent service transformation to establish a Pharmacy Business Function we are excited to offer new opportunities for enthusiastic, reliable, and experienced secretaries/administrators to join our friendly and supportive team.

This new role will provide secretarial/administrative support to the business function and hospital pharmacy departments and will be integral to developing, implementing, and maintaining administration systems to ensure the smooth day to day running of the pharmacy services.

Reporting to the Business Support Officers and working closely with pharmacy business function colleagues and pharmacy site leads this role will be based in the central office site at Waverley Gate to support the business, project, and clinical areas in the delivery of our objectives across the whole of NHS Lothian Pharmacy and Medicine Service.

With experience in a previous secretarial or administrative role you will have sound knowledge of Microsoft Office packages, data input and minute taking.

Previous healthcare or equivalent environment experience would be an advantage, but not essential as full training will be provided.
