About the Role:

Blok 'N' Mesh continues to expand we require a Welder/ Yard Operative, based at our Depot in Glasgow.

Responsibilities:

Repair steel fence components and gates Ensure all equipment loaded onto vehicles is correctly counted and have the appropriate documentation.
Ensure all work carried out at the depot and on site is done in the most efficient manner taking the company, customers and H & S regulations into consideration.
Ensure any defective plant and equipment are reported immediately.
Ensure all tasks and targets allocated by the depot manager and depot supervisor are completed accurately and within the timeframe allocated.
MIG welding
Able to fabricate/repair using all tools: saws, grinders, punch machines
Able to use measuring equipment
Ensure sound weld joints and good cosmetic finish.
Sanding \ Grinding components or assemblies to remove splatter, and to ensure the optimal fit of components for onward finishing
Monitor all welding processes and ensure absence of any shrinkage and distortion to materials.
