This is an exciting opportunity to work for a highly successful Interior Design company. If you're looking to develop your career as an Interior Designer then this is the perfect opportunity.As the Junior Designer you will be working with and supporting the Design Manager with all live projects in the residential sector.
Key duties:
- Research and source highquality interiors products including bespoke items, fittings, soft furnishings, lighting, furniture, sanitary ware, pictures and accessories for the designer's brief
- Maintain paper and electronic files database
- Action Interior Designer's instructions and keep them informed of progress
- Prepare and maintain project schedules and programs
- Draw up Interior Designer plans in AutoCAD, Canva, Sketch Up
- Obtain product samples on time for projects
- Place and confirm orders with suppliers. Oversee supplier production monitoring quality and coordinate delivery slots
- Communicate with suppliers and Contractors, monitor progress
- Receive deliveries onsite and assist in their placement and installation to plan
- Take and produce minutes of client's and supplier meetings
- Meet clients and exceed the expected high standard of service
- Maintain samples library and product store
- Maintain an organised and tidy appearance of the office
- Support the Design and Marketing Manager with queries and complaints
- Attend meetings with senior management when requested
- Style properties for photoshoots and showhome launches.
- Monitor furniture collections for discontinued / unpopular items.
- Assist sales team with clients requiring a design element.
Key skills/experience required:
- You should be interested in interior design and willing to follow design directives and client requests
- Highly proficient in software/systems used in the office
- Canva, Khaos, Monday, Sketchup and Abobe
- Excellent social media skills
- You will understand how to read drawings and demonstrate the understanding of the basic principles of special planning
- In depth knowledge of furniture systems and finishes
- Strong communication skills, written, verbal, listening and confident in dealing with a wide range of clients
- Able to deal firmly and fairly with contractors, consultants and clients
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- The ability to multitask whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail
- Must demonstrate problemsolving skills
- Have the ability to work to tight deadlines
- The ability to work within budget constraints
- Have the ability to work in a team and or off your own initiative
- Able to deal firmly and fairly with contractors, consultants and clients
- Must have the ability to learn on the job and adapt to change in this independent growing business
- Have a full clean driving licence
