Our Security and Resilience team presents a fantastic opportunity for you to join as our new Resilience Specialist.

In this role, you will be responsible for promoting, delivering, and implementing the Severn Trent "Being Prepared" program and Security Policy. You will offer guidance and advice to the business on preparing for incidents and emergencies, ensuring the development of suitable business continuity, emergency planning, and incident management plans across all departments at Severn Trent.

Moreover, you will assist the Senior Resilience Specialist in ensuring appropriate incident management training and upskilling occurs company-wide, and actively engage with Local Resilience Forums (LRFs), regulators such as Water UK, and other responder agencies collaborating with Severn Trent. You will also work in conjunction with Water UK and other water companies to aid in the enhancement and promotion of sector resilience and response arrangements.

You will also carry out post-incident reviews to help integrate enhancements to organizational resilience.

Some of your other primary responsibilities will include:

Engaging with staff across all levels and departments at Severn Trent to implement the company's Being Prepared program and resilience strategy.
Ensuring appropriate Strategic and Tactical emergency plans are developed and in place for all identified threats and hazards, and ensuring the organization understands the expectations concerning Operational incident plans.
Supporting and advising Strategic and Tactical incident managers, leading Resilience activities during company incidents, including supporting the Security and Resilience standby schedule. This involves interacting with staff and external contacts at all levels to conduct the company's exercise and testing program.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE

We are seeking a new Resilience Specialist who is adept at influencing external Local Resilience Forums partners to represent Severn Trent's interests and fulfill its obligations as a Category responder under the Civil Contingencies Act.

To excel in this role, you should demonstrate a strong work ethic and a collaborative approach, identifying opportunities for sharing and cooperation with the broader Security & Resilience team and other teams within Severn Trent. You must be able to interpret threat and risk intelligence, regulatory documents, and resilience guidance, and apply them to Severn Trent's operations at a Group level.

In addition, you should possess excellent written communication skills and the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders.

As travel will be necessary, a full driving license is also required.
