Job overview:


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent band 6 Mental Health Practitioner's to join the Wirral Mental Health Single Point of Access Service.

We are a dynamic assessment and signposting service for all new referrals into secondary care mental health services from the age of 18 upwards, and therefore includes adults and older persons.

The service operates from 8am-6pm, Monday to Friday, and is Wirral wide.


Main duties of the job:


The Mental Health Practitioner must demonstrate high level of clinical skills, experience of working within Mental Health at least to a band 5 level.


We are looking for highly skilled and competent practitioners, who are motivated and committed to delivering quality care with excellent communication and person-centred skills.

Report writing and the ability to assess complex patients is essential.


You will be an autonomous, independent practitioner within a small but dynamic team, and as this post involves working across a wide geographical area access to transport for work purposes is essential.

In addition, the post holder will support the team in the future transformation of Community Mental Health Services.
