Security Supervisor
ASR Group's companies have more than 150 years of experience taking sugar cane from the field to the table.

We sell our branded and private label sugars, sweeteners and syrups in the grocery, food service, industrial and pharmaceutical channels in the Americas, Caribbean, Europe, the Middle East, India and Asia.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed /experienced Security Supervisor to manage our Security team.

Based at our Tate & Lyle Thames refinery in London, reporting to the Security Manager you will be responsible for a team of 13 officers across our 50-acre site, maintaining the overall safety and security of the refinery.

Other site locations could include Plaistow and Bedford Street.

What will you be doing?

As a Security Supervisor will act as a visible deterrent to crime and safety rule infractions; you will detect, report, and act upon where needed suspicious, unsafe, or criminal acts to keep our colleagues, company property and guests safe.

As part of our successful security team, you will report safety concerns, security breaches and unusual circumstances both verbally and in writing, maintain compliance with all facility and governmental safety and security regulations.

Stepping into the shoes of the Security Supervisor you will have responsibility for acting as the backup Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO).

What are we looking for?

A Security Industry Authority (SIA) badge holder
Relevant security supervisory experience in a similar industrial environment, preferably food manufacturing
Previous experience day to day running of a security contract including any site documentation, audits, general paperwork, policies and procedures, inductions and overall, Health & Safety.
Experience utilizing access control systems i.e. Honeywell
Proficient in the use of CCTV systems (analog and IP)
Prior experience with port compliance/audits is highly preferable
Experience of TACCP (Threat and Assessment Critical Control Points) would be advantageous

Hours of work - Predominantly Monday to Friday 35hrs per week (preferred hours of work 10am - 6pm We're happy to discuss options if this doesn't quite work for you)

_successfully complete an approved DFT course to become a certified Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) within their first 6 months of employment and successfully pass the Counter Terrorism background checks.
