Johnston Fuels are a family business with 13 limited companies within the group. We have been delivering fuel since 1965 with a focus on exceptional customer service.

We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join the team at our Head Office in Bathgate on a Fixed Term Contract to cover Maternity leave.

Main Duties:

Opening and distributing incoming post within the Head Office
Arranging outgoing post to all Customers in the afternoon
Being the first person to answer external and internal telephone calls
Dealing with initial request before fielding calls to other finance members, if necessary
Running weekly reminder letters
Scanning documents onto customers' accounts
Credit Control assistance
Processing card payments
Processing and posting cheque payments onto customers' accounts
Processing unpaid Direct Debits
Running daily invoices and monthly statements
Setting up of new customer accounts and maintaining existing account details
Processing stock transactions and confirming deliveries of fuel onto customers' accounts
Working closely with the Senior finance team to assist where necessary

The Person
This is an extremely varied role within a busy Accounts Department.

To be considered for the role you must:

Have good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
Excellent attention to detail, reliable and hardworking
A strong communicator that's able to work well within a team and help other team members when needed
Be able to multitask and prioritise workload

This role is a Fixed Term Contract to cover Maternity leave with the potential to become permanent.
