    Description

    We are seeking a Post-Doctoral Research Associate with practical experience in biochemical and biophysical methods of protein interaction analysis. We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious researcher interested in using state-of-the-art structural, biochemical and mechanobiological approaches to explore the mechanosensitive links between the cytoskeletal protein talin and the integrin family of cell adhesion molecules.

    You will contribute to the development of a project funded by The British Heart Foundation, "Talin Dependent Mechanical Imprinting As Driver For Cardiac Disease Progression". The project is in collaboration with Professor Thomas Iskratsch (Queen Mary's University London) and Professor Sanjay Sinha (University of Cambridge).

    Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in Biological Sciences.

    The post is available on a fixed term basis until 30th April 2027.

    Any applicants who are still awaiting their PhD to be awarded should be aware that if successful, they will be appointed at grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that they have been successful in being awarded their PhD, they will be moved onto grade 7, spine point 31 from the date of their award.
