The Role


We're seeking a Conflicts Administrator to support Senior Conflict lawyers, Senior Conflicts Officers, Team Leaders, Managers, and Global Head of Conflicts in ensuring effective compliance controls and procedures are in place, particularly those involving the avoidance of conflicts of interest and protection of confidential information, and to ensure compliance with applicable legislative requirements and management of risk.

This role will work with and support the UK, Ireland, and Middle East regions.
A Conflicts Administrator should aim to become proficient with the following core compliance processes:

  • Conflict of Interest Checking Process.
  • Information Barrier and Document Security Processes.
  • Client Care and Dentons Engagement Terms.
  • Matter management, including matter opening and assessing compliance with Scottish and UK Law Society rules, Codes and guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Handles low complexity conflicts of interest matters.
  • Handles highvolume conflict searches.
  • Managing legal and commercial issues across Denton's network.
  • Matter management, including matter opening and assessing compliance with, Irish Scottish and UK Law Society Rules, Code, and Guidance.
  • Review of relevant conflict flags.
  • Setting up information barriers.
  • Assisting with the management of the highvolume workflow.
  • Supporting Senior conflict administrators, Senior Conflict lawyers, Senior Conflict Officers, Team Leaders and Managers, and Global Heads of Conflicts, as required.
  • Assisting with Department Projects and Initiatives.
  • Analyze Letters of Engagement for the purposes of conflict checking.
  • Adheres to Dentons' internal compliance policies and procedures.
  • Bulk matter searching for certain practice areas.
  • Other duties may be assigned too.

  • Can demonstrate initiative and the ability to be proactive, while also being able to follow instructions and provide support to the Conflicts Manager and Global Head of Conflicts.
