About the Role:

  • Promote confidence and engagement of parents and carers, and where appropriate, placing authorities, in their children's learning and the development of skills and confidence through their experience with COL cycle opportunities, involving them and their child in conversations about the cycling provision they require.
  • Promote the work of Cycle of Life to our partners stakeholders and general public.
  • The post holder will assist in ensuring an innovative instructional programme that is sensitive to and reflects the specific needs of all participants and operates to the highest quality and safety standards.
  • Assist the Project coordinator with ensuring we maintain our Bikeability accreditation; observing, developing, assessing and evaluating rider's performance, risk assessments and lesson planning and delivery of bikeability sessions as well as helping to nurture the skills and confidence of participants.
  • The post holder will assist the Project Coordinator in overseeing the implementation of the quality assessment plan in line with the requirements of grant funders and Bikeability.
  • Lead cycling sessions as required.
  • To monitor and feedback on the availablity for courses. To work closely with project coordinator and other members of the instructor team to ensure equipment for courses is maintained to the highest standards.
  • To keep up to date with developments in coaching / learning methods, understanding diversity, alongside trends emerging in the delivery of cycling to ensure that Cycle of life is at the forefront of knowledge and innovation in the delivery of bikeability and cycle education and training.
  • Support the Project coordinator to respond to school/parental or community complaints regarding instructor/delivery issues

  • On the job training at a specific location in the Merseyside Area
  • Fully funded by the Employer

Job Types:
Full-time, Apprenticeship


Salary:
£16,000.00-£19,000.00 per year

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
