Role Overview:

We are looking for a new Clinic Assistant to join our Norwich site. This will be a full-time role of 40 hours per week, including weekends on a rota basis.


Clinic Assistants are the public face of Newmedica and are integral to the successful operation of the clinic and theatre.

They are responsible for performing clinical tests and supporting the clinical assessment of each patient and for ensuring that all patients understand their treatment.


Clinic Assistants are also responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient administration of the clinic and theatre in order to maintain exceptional levels of care for our patients, including retrieving patient notes, recording and filing clinical outcomes and utilising Newmedica's electronic patient records.

Combining a friendly and accessible personal manner with advanced clinical testing skills, Our Clinic Assistants pride themselves in delivering a great patient experience.

Clinic Assistants receive a comprehensive and planned on-the-job training programmes. All training programmes are complimented with face-to-face support and online forums.

What skills & experience do I need for the role?

  • Proven customer service skills with a passion for providing exceptional standards of care/customer service.
  • A team player who is happy to jump in and support others when needed.
  • Proven high standards of administration, including the ability to follow processes.
  • Tech savvy and a competent user of all Office 365 programmes.
  • Comfortable learning and using new IT systems, such as patient record systems and diagnostic programmes.
  • Experience of dealing with a variety of data for example patient records, GP and patient correspondence and diagnostic test results.
  • Exceptional administrator who can understand and deliver within a complex working environment with keen attention to detail.
  • Good organisation skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise own work without supervision.
  • Personable with the ability to adapt approach to different situations and the diversity of patient's needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable making a significant contribution in a small team.
  • Able to balance working independently with appropriate escalation.
  • Enjoys the routine and rhythm of a process driven environment.
