An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Quality team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust as the interim Head of Clinical Outcomes and Effectiveness.


Working in the Chief Medical Officer's directorate, the post holder will provide specialist and clinical skills, expertise and support to the Trust's Clinical Divisions in all areas of the clinical outcomes and effectiveness portfolio.


We are looking for a professionally registered senior staff member, with the vision and leadership skills to promote high quality patient care, through a focus on clinical outcomes and effectiveness.


Working closely with the Director of Clinical Outcomes and Effectiveness, Patient Experience and Patient Safety teams, Clinical Divisions and colleagues across the organisation and Integrated Care System, the role will lead the Trust wide development and implementation of effective systems relating to the clinical effectiveness and outcomes portfolio.

This role will ensure that the Trust is delivering a programme of quality improvement in clinical outcomes and effectiveness and can evidence the improvements made from an in depth understanding of quality standards, quality risks and the opportunities for improvement.

The role will be responsible for the leadership, management and team development of the Clinical Outcomes and Effectiveness corporate team across Trust hospital sites.


Based at Worthing Hospital or Royal Sussex Hospital this post is offered as 12 month fixed term contract or secondment opportunity.
