Breakthrough In Education are working with a school in the Thetford area, we are currently looking to employ 1 Learning Support Assistant to support a teacher to work with pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.

The position is working in a small class groups or 1:1

The ideal Teaching Assistant for the position will have experience of working with young people with challenging behaviour. You will have a calm patient approach with the ability to engage well with pupils. Experience of positive behaviour management and behaviour de-escalation would be beneficial.

  • Ideal but not essential
  • Behaviour management training
  • TA qualification or equivalent is desirable
  • Great communication skills
  • Passion for working with and supporting the development of young people
  • Understanding of mental health needs
