Your New Role:


We have a fantastic opportunity for a Personal Messenger to provide a range of business services to the Secretary of State and other Senior Government Officials between the hours of 07.30 and 18.00.


The standard hours of work are 36.25 per week.

You will be responsible for:


  • Provide refreshments to: The Principals; meetings in their private offices and meeting rooms on the 5th floor.
  • Provide refreshments in Historic rooms.
  • Always provide a polite and friendly service while ensuring that all security and other regulations are adhered to i.e. fire regulations, health & safety etc.
  • To clear and washup as required.
  • Responsible to keep the kitchen and office tidy and clean and reported any faults to the Helpdesk.
  • Escort VIP visitors from and to reception, when required.
  • To ensure collection from reception and delivery to all private offices of; newspapers, items addressed to Principals and Red boxes.
  • Floor walking check and report back any issues found (cleaning, lights, waste, toilets, kitchen areas, corridors, and lift lobbies)
  • Assist with the set up and service of refreshments to meetings.
  • Always wear the correct uniform.

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • DV/STRAP Clearance required for this position.
  • The person must be a British National to obtain STRAPP clearance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • PC Literate
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a secure environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
