Nigel Wright is delighted be supporting an innovative engineering business offering bespoke services to a global customer base, in their search for a Head of Commercial & Contracts.


Role:


  • To provide commercial & contractual expertise, support and guidance to Sales, Project and Supply Chain teams across the business.
  • Lead the development, manage and champion a first class commercial framework.
  • Leading day to day reviewing of T&C's and compliance matrix, reviewing with lawyers as may be necessary.
  • Leading T&C's negotiations with the client alongside sales team.
  • Supporting projects to resolve day to day commercial issues moving delivery dates, assist with variations, nonpayment by clients, etc.
  • Working with Project Owners to support them in ensuring appropriate contracts/T&Cs and PO wording is in place for key purchases.
  • Developing, evolving, and deploying standard terms of purchase and sales as appropriate.
  • Working with Project Owners for supply chain planning, execution and issue resolution.
  • Support leadership team to develop and grow the strategic supply chain, in terms of commercial alignment and risk management

Experience:


  • Experience of dealing with high value projects £10m + ideally in an engineering or fabrication environment,
  • Experience of drafting and negotiating contractual terms and conditions
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to develop business relationships
