Description

Classroom Co-ordinator

(Permanent, Full Time, Term time only)
Silcoates is a successful independent co-educational day school with a long and proud history. We achieve excellent academic results and offer a broad and stimulating variety of co-curricular activities. We are seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced Classroom Co-ordinator in our Junior School.

The school is set in 50 acres of grounds in Wrenthorpe, near Wakefield, within easy reach of the M1 and M62, offering an all-through, fully co-educational day school experience for children from 3 to 18.

This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced practitioner, complementing our teaching staff by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under a system of supervision in order to support and develop our pupils.

This may involve planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups of pupils and assessing, recording, and reporting on pupils' achievement, progress and development.

You will largely be assigned to a specific year group, but flexibility to work with all year groups is required.

The successful applicant will hold a Level 3 Childcare Qualification, or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience, and be expected to play a full part in the co-curricular life of the school.

You should be able to demonstrate familiarity with appropriate learning strategies, for example in numeracy and literacy, and be able to develop good relationships with our children and their parents.

The role is permanent, working Monday to Friday from 8.00 to 4.30

Actual Salary:
£19375 (for 8am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, 35 weeks per annum)

Closing date:
Monday 20th November, 9am

Job Types:

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
