Customer Change Project Director - Huntingdon, United Kingdom - Huntingdonshire District Council
Description
Huntingdonshire District Council (HDC) is passionate about providing high-quality services to our communities, residents and businesses. This means we must employ and retain the most talented and dedicated people.
Situated within the heart of the Cambridge-Peterborough Growth Area, Huntingdonshire is a beautiful district that boasts thriving market towns and many attractive villages, each with its own identity. We are an innovative and forward-thinking local authority whose residents are at the heart of our decision-making.
At HDC we want to employ staff who embody our icare values ( Inspiring, Collaborative, Accountable, Respectful, Enterprising ), all of which support our ultimate purpose of putting our customers first.
Job details
There has never been a better time to join HDC. We have ambitious plans to improve the quality of life and well-being for our residents by creating a better Huntingdonshire for future generations – come help us realise our goals
An opportunity to make an impact
We are re-imagining the way we deliver customer service and this is a tremendous opportunity where you can really make a difference. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a change programme across the customer facing activity, establishing a project structure and defining resource needs across the programme as a whole. Your direct control of operations will empower you to present choices and trade-offs, to deliver the changes you believe necessary. Your initial focus will be our customer service model; however, there may be an opportunity to get involved in other transformation work across the council.
A bit about you
As an experienced leader with the knowledge and expertise to develop and deliver a change programme, you will create a unified strategy across all aspects of customer interaction, physical and digital, which goes beyond traditional customer service delivery.
Using your knowledge of the practical operation and best practice surrounding customer experience/process design within a large organisation, you will use your experience of successfully delivering large change projects/programmes to implement the approach across the council, via a fit for purpose structure, with appropriate roles and processes.
Pragmatic in your approach and with a track record of being able to hit the ground running, you will be focussed on delivery of significant savings through the design of more streamlined and effective services.
This is a temporary 15 months (from start date) role.
