    About Us

Southern Health is among the largest NHS Foundation Trusts in the UK, specializing in mental health and learning disabilities, also offering community-based physical health services.

With a team of over 7000 employees and a presence across 200+ sites in Hampshire, we are fully dedicated to delivering top-notch healthcare, catering to various communities while prioritizing patients and staff at the core of our operations.

We are currently collaborating closely with other NHS Trusts to merge all our collective community, mental health, and learning disability services. Our upcoming entity, to be named Hampshire and Isle of Wight NHS Foundation Trust, is scheduled to launch in July 2024.

The transition will occur in phases; Hampshire CAMHS, part of Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, joined Southern Health in February 2024, with Isle of Wight NHS Trust mental health and community services switching in early May 2024. The final amalgamation of Southern Health and Solent Trusts is projected for July 2024, marking the establishment of the new organization.

Our new Trust will continue to address the distinct needs of different communities, enhancing healthcare accessibility across the county and providing staff with more opportunities for career advancement, training, and collaborative efforts.
