We're pleased to announce that SThree is looking for a VAT Assistant to join our team based in Glasgow on a 12 month Maternity cover.
In this role, you'll be responsible for drafting VAT and ESL returns for SThree entities in 14 different countries and work with advisers and managers to finalise VAT figures and reconciliations.

Responsibilities will include:
- Draft VAT returns for review by Tax Manager
- Liaise with external advisers and managers to finalise figures
- Arrange tax payments and submission
- Work with Tax Managers and internal stakeholders to reconcile tax GL accounts
- Prepare journals where needed
- Work with tax advisers and colleagues to collate information and deal with tax authority and auditor queries as required
What skills and experience should you have?
- Experience of working in a finance function, ideally with preparing VAT returns
- Good Excel knowledge
- Works well as part of a team
Qualifications:
- University degree
- Tax or accounting qualification would be advantageous
