Senior Support Worker (Children's Service)
Location:
Great Barr, Birmingham.
Do you have your Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare, and looking for a new challenge? We are looking for a Senior Support Worker for Children's Residential home in Great Barr, Birmingham supporting three Children/young people with Learning Difficulties.
Salary:
£24,000 to £26,000
Sleep ins paid at £60 with a potential of earning £28,320 - £30,320 if you completed an average of 6 sleeps ins a month.
£1000 refer a friend scheme (paid on completion of their probation)
Hours:
Average 40 hours per week (1 on, 2 off day rota)
Contract:

Job Summary
This Senior Support Worker opportunity will form part of our leadership group and will provide guidance and mentorship to our staff team.
The role holds high levels of responsibility, to ensure compliance with legislation and provision of best practices, giving you the opportunity to make your mark within the service.
AsSenior Support Worker, you will be able to influence the lives of the children/young people we support.
We are ultimately looking for someone to go the extra mile, to promote the mental and physical wellbeing of our children/young people and staff teams.

Care Perspectives is a specialist provider of care and support to children/young people who may have complex mental health disorders, learning disabilities, or emotional and behavioural difficulties.
We continue to achieve the best possible outcomes for our children & young people, creating services that nurture independence.Duties will include:
- Working with the Management team to ensure that systems and standards are maintained at a highquality level.
- Responsible for motivating, supporting, and guiding all staff on duty, on all shifts.
- Conduct Staff supervisions and appraisals.
- To actively promote and take part in social, leisure, educational, life skills, holidays and other activities with children and young people.
- To support each young person to maintain a high standard of personal care; including intimate care, personal hygiene, health and sexual health needs and awareness and any mobility support that is needed.
- To support all health needs of children/young people, inclusive of medication administration, medical appointments, therapeutic and mental wellbeing needs.
What skills do you need to be a successful Senior Support Worker?
- Minimum 1 years' experience with Children's/Young people environment
- Good Listener and have excellent communication skills.
- Caring and Nurturing

Qualification & Experience
- Minimum 1 years' Experience in Residential childcare
- Essential
- Diploma Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent
- Essential
- Full Driving Licence and access to own vehicle
