Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Groundworker to join our team. As a Groundworker, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support construction and maintenance projects.

This is a physically demanding role that requires attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.


Duties:


  • Assist with the installation and maintenance of underground utilities, such as water and sewer lines
  • Operate hand tools and power equipment, such as shovels, rakes, jackhammers, and compactors
  • Excavate trenches and holes using proper techniques and equipment
  • Backfill excavations and compact soil to ensure stability
  • Assist with the installation of concrete forms and the pouring of concrete
  • Perform general cleanup of work areas

Requirements:


  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in construction or related field preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans and blueprints
  • Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor for extended periods of time
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license

£13.49-£20.52 per hour
