    This post will provide Children and Family Services with an inspiring and innovative leader to drive forward the healthy weights and health lifestyles agenda within our 0-19 service delivery to children, young people, and families across Hampshire.

    We are looking for somebody with a strong clinical background and transformational expertise to collaborate with our teams to develop our service and enhance service user experience & engagement. This post will need to be able to support the clinical service in their delivery of healthy weights and lifestyles interventions to children, young people, and families across Hampshire. Main duties of the job To work with staff to ensure that they understand the wider determinants which contribute to obesity rates and understand what a healthy weight looks like. To be a positive role model for Healthy Weights & lifestyles To ensure that there are clear, consistent, simple, and culturally appropriate messages about food and physical activity to help families feel empowered and supported to ensure their children engage in healthy behaviour that can support them to maintain a healthy lifestyle. To work in partnership with stakeholders (staff, external partners, and service users) to write and implement an evidenced based healthy weights pathway for the 0-19 service. To provide leadership to ensure that clear, consistent, and evidence-based messages and training on healthy weight, healthy nutrition and physical activity delivered to all staff working in the service. To ensure all staff competencies across the 0-19 service are up to date. To collaborate with partners across Hampshire to promote a whole system approach which supports healthy eating, physical activity, and maintenance of a healthy weight. To ensure that a clear pathway is in place including referral pathways for weight intervention programmes across Hampshire. We are currently working closely with other NHS Trusts to integrate all our collective community, mental health, and learning disability services. Our new organisation, to be known as Hampshire and Isle of Wight NHS Foundation Trust, is set to launch in July 2024. The transformation will happen in staggered stages Hampshire CAMHS, part of Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust joined Southern Health in February 2024, with Isle of Wight NHS Trust mental health and community services transitioning in early May 2024. The final combination of Southern Health and Solent Trusts is anticipated to occur in July 2024, when the new organisation will be formed. Our new Trust will continue to cater to the unique needs of different communities, making healthcare across the county more accessible, as well as offering staff more opportunities for career development, training and partnership working. Job description Job responsibilities To ensure the development of evidence-based activities with children, young people, and families to support with healthy lifestyles. To Collaborate with staff to support service users to participate in programme development for the healthy weights offer within the 0-19 service. To provide clinical supervision to staff in the 0-19 Service, which also include working alongside staff in clinical practice with Children, young people, and their families. Strategic To provide a clinical focus to the healthy lifestyle's agenda for the service. Assist in delivery of transformation within the services, both at local and national level. To support with the establishment and implementation of the mechanisms by which benefits of the healthy weight pathway can be measured, audited, and then improved upon. To identify and implement maximum improvements in business operations (both existent and newly created) as the programmes deliver products and services into operational use. To represent the service at a service level, attending local and national meetings and workshops. To work with other organisations to ensure that stakeholders' requirements and participation considered, where appropriate. Projects To lead and guide transformation/change work streams as appropriate. Operational/Delivery of Services Supporting transition and transformation management ensuring that the business as usual maintained during the transition and changes are effectively integrated into the business. Preparing the affected business areas for the transitions to a new way of working, potentially implementing new business processes The post holder is accountable to the 0-19 Area Manager To maintain own professional development portfolio and participating in appropriate training programmes and ensuring annual attendance for statutory and mandatory training Provides advice, demonstrates own activities and workplace activities to less experienced staff. Ensures transformational leadership role modelling demonstrated. To clinically review initiatives developed with the Clinical Team Leads and Area Managers to identify realistic benefits, quantifying between cash releasing and non-cash releasing whilst continually looking for negative impact from changes elsewhere in the patient pathway. Emotional Effort Working to tight deadlines. Collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders for whom you have no overall line management responsibilities. Working with third parties who may have different work priorities. Physical Effort Making repetitive movements -- continuous typing / computer work Prolonged periods of sitting down at a desk Mental Effort Operation of computer equipment - VDU equipment used for a significant part of the shift Facilitate benefits management workshops as requires, reporting regularly to the Project Team/Trust Office based but must be able to attend regular meetings across Hampshire and surrounding areas to consult with stakeholder organisations. Occasional attendance of national IT events as required. Display Screen Equipment User Prolonged periods of sitting down Driving to other sites for meetings / training.
