About the Role


Working as part of the Security team you will be responsible for delivering and maintaining compliant security processes across the business.


The Security Compliance Assistant will work closely with the Security Controller and Deputy Security Controller implementing, updating, and maintaining company security policies in line with Government legislation, carrying out security inductions/briefings, carrying out day-to-day security activities and maintaining the security culture within the company.

They will also support the operational requirements of the business as directed by the Security Controller.


Role Responsibilities

  • Assist with management of security (corporate and government) across all Callen-Lenz sites alongside the Security Team.
  • Support with securityrelated audits and visits from accreditors and customers when required.
  • Maintaining and supporting the implementation of security policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring adherence to Government, legislative and Callen-Lenz policies across the company including GovS007, Government Security Classifications Scheme etc.
  • Maintain a register of SALs. (Security Aspects Letters)
  • Support with conducting security inductions/briefings, security awareness training, security process training, project readon and debriefs as and when required.
  • Conduct risk assessments, present findings to key stakeholders and support with the implementation of identified mitigations.
  • Support in the management of security incidents, carry out investigations and report findings.
  • Maintain Protected Document Registers, Asset Registers, Removable Media Registers, and other security documentation.
  • Provide training to users in the daytoday maintenance of security documentation.
  • Work with project teams for security management of individual projects.
  • Assist the security and HR team with the admin of the security vetting enquiries, VSI checks, vetting status confirmation for external visits and aftercare.
  • Carry out daytoday security activities including maintenance of codes, recording of audit logs and coordinate security passes and access to areas.
  • Perform other related duties as required

About You

Skills:

**Essential

  • Experience in a similar role
  • The ability to prioritise workload and multitask in an agile working environment without compromising security outcomes.
  • Experience working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Basic knowledge of personnel and cyber security.
  • Strong communicator with ability to establish strong working relationships.
**Desirable

  • Experience with process improvement and implementation of changes.
  • Experience of carrying out risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of and experience working with Government Security policies including but not limited to: Government Standard 007, Government Security Classification scheme, Joint Service Publication 440/44
  • Experience of maintaining a security culture within the business.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 27001 is advantageous but not essential for this role.
