Job description

  • The School of History, Anthropology, Philosophy and Politics (HAPP) at Queen's University Belfast, is currently seeking to appoint a Lecturer to work in the field of Anthropology to support research and teaching at all levels.
It is expected that the appointee will have demonstrable ability to teach in a number of areas including:
the anthropology of performance and peace-building, paradigms in the theoretical development of sociocultural anthropology, and ethnographic research methods.- A research focus on the anthropology of performance

  • Record of publication of highquality research outputs (commensurate with career stage)
  • Evidence of independent contribution in research projects and outputs
  • Evidence of scholarly activity e.g. conference papers, book reviews, involvement in national and international scholarly networks
  • Evidence of ability to contribute to teaching in the area of anthropology of performance, along with teaching in key areas of anthropological theory and methods.
