We have a unique opportunity for a Performance & Efficiencies Lead to play an integral role in a 10 year major framework.


The purpose of the role is to:

  • Lead the implementation and realisation of the efficiency & Profit Incentivisation Regime (PIR) plans for SID with close liaison with the Performance teams to support accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Lead the agile performance culture change across the entire enterprise with close liaison with the Transformation team to embed the efficiency and high performance mindset within in the SID teams and the Ecosystem.
  • Overall management of the Profit Incentivisation Regime including agreement and implementation of Adjustment Events
  • Identification of further opportunities for stretch efficiencies and development of these in line with the Efficiencies Management Plan

Accountabilities / Responsibilities:


  • Support the achievement of the Affordable & Profitable Outcome
  • Ensuring that the SID Leadership Team, the Integration Team and the Delivery Teams are embedding and implementing the Efficiency & Improvement Plans into their ways of working.
  • Ensuring that the Enterprise is embedding a culture of efficiencies & improvement and sharing of best practice to support enterprisewide efficiencies across all teams and disciplines.
  • Accountable for the Efficiencies Implementation and Management Plan and the adherence to this plan by the SID Leadership Team.
  • Leading strategic performance improvement & efficiencies in collaboration with SID Leadership Team.
  • Accountable for administration of the Profit Incentivisation Regime including the oversight of the agreement and implementation of Adjustment Events.
  • Support forecasting of efficiencies, profitability, and affordability to support decision making within the SID Leadership Team.

Experience and knowledge:


  • Knowledge of common project management systems and cost breakdown structures i.e. COINS, Oracle, RMM, PowerBI, ARM etc.
  • Supply chain incentivisation and collaborative engagement
  • Understanding of construction means and methods for railway renewals projects.
  • Collaborative working and bringing people together to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Cost drivers of rail renewals projects
  • Project 13 enterprise models
  • Actual cost payment models
  • Shared incentive arrangements
  • KPI monitoring
  • Understanding of renewals work bank planning and integrated working.

Essential:


  • Ability to produce cost estimates for the impact of efficiency initiatives.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with different teams and organisations to deliver integrated efficiency initiatives.
  • Ability to analyse cost and performance information to produce PIR reports.
  • Analyse complex data and present meaningful information in a concise manner
  • Leverage collaborative skills and industry expertise to influence senior stakeholders across the SID
  • Ability to communicate across different levels of the SID enterprise including executive level and operational level.
  • Ability to synthesize data across cost, schedule and scope.
  • Through working knowledge of Six Sigma methodologies

Qualifications:


  • Relevant degree and/or industry experience
  • Six Sigma / Lean implementation certification (Desired
