Role Summary:
This is a 12 month Mat Cover role. The General Ledger Assistant is responsible for delivery of consistent, streamlined, global Record to Report processes.
The role will focus on operational excellence and high levels of customer service with an additional focus on continuous improvement.
Job Core Responsibilities:
- Operation Performance and Delivery operation of standard process, systems and control that complies with regulatory and statutory requirements in all relevant jurisdictions; and ensures the integrity of financial data. With particular focus on the calculation nd production of balance sheet reconciliation and journals, banking, fixed assets, intercompany, VAT and intrastats and various management and financial reporting requirements
- Continuous Improvement
- Enable increases of FSSC effectiveness and efficiency through continuous improvement
Job Specifications:
2+ years of experience in financial or management accounting, preferably in a PLC/global business
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
- Relevant operational R2R experience in a PLC/global business including balance sheet reconciliation and journals, banking, fixed assets, intercompany, VAT and intrastats and various management and financial reporting requirements
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience of SAP or other ERP
- Working knowledge of Excel
- Ability to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication across a variety of audiences
- Ability to demonstrate high levels of accuracy
