This is a fantastic opportunity for a College or University graduate who has an interest in working in Accounts. My client, a growing law firm based in central Huddersfield is currently seeking an addition to their accounts team.

This is a busy and varied role where you will be responsible managing financial transactions and assisting with the monitoring of all bank accounts and processing financial requests in a timely manner, including contacting clients when necessary.


Full training is provided, however the successful applicant will have a genuine interest in working in accounts in a legal environment.

You will be numerate with excellent organisational skills and the ability to work under pressure.


Duties will include:
Assisting with the processing of financial transactions for the law firm.

Cashiering, banking, and raising ad hoc cheques

Keeping the invoice system up to date

Keeping the archive of completed matters up to date and restoring matters when required.

Attending the bank to deposit payments

Liaising with the Compliance Officer and finance team, reporting any breaches and keeping the risk register updated

Liaise with fee earners and support staff to ensure finance processes are embedded

Working in a fast paced, busy environment

Being able to prioritise work loads

Provision of general administration assistance to the department


Applicants must have:
Minimum of 5 GCSE's - Grade C and above (or equivalent) in Maths and English are essential

The ability to work well under pressure and towards tight deadlines

Strong organisational skills

Highly numerate

Ability to work to a high level of accuracy with an eye for detail

The ability to communicate professionally at all levels within the firm, with clients and external contacts

Good time keeper

A good team player, but also the ability to work on own initiative

Good data input skills

Intermediate to advanced Excel Skills

Flexible approach to work

£20,500.00-£22,000.00 per year
