    New Mills School is a small 11-16 secondary school based in the High Peak close to the Peak District National Park, yet within easy reach of the centres of Stockport and Manchester.

    The core purpose of the Second in Humanities is to provide professional leadership and management for the History curriculum to secure the development of a high quality, knowledge-rich curriculum, improved standards of learning and achievement for all pupils and to do so in the spirit of the school's vision, culture and strategic direction.
