About Xerox Holdings CorporationJob objectives and responsibilities**To provide a full mail and distribution service to British Airways, including delivery of internal/external mail, incoming and outgoing couriers, paper deliveries and archiving requests. Delivering and collecting mail airside at Heathrow Airport, one week airside, one week non-airside rotating, multiple drops per day.
Main duties

  • Develop, maintain, and adhere to all detailed Xerox systems, policies and procedures to undertake the scope of the role
  • Own and deliver the fullest remit of the role
  • Observe local security measures in line with client policies
  • Sort and deliver mail including: Royal Mail Special and Recorded post, and courier items to all the required locations within the campus
  • Collect and prepare all outgoing mail from required locations
  • Engage and build relationships with end users and client contacts
  • Act as a point of contact and advise end users on all aspects of mail and distribution services
  • To be flexible in approach to working patterns and systems to maintain the standards required as a Xerox employee
  • Complete all duties in a timely, professional, and polite manner
  • To assist with all areas within the mailroom and delivery team including driving the van (if applicable) and assisting with larger moves within the site/contract as required
  • Take an active part in all staff training and development provided by Xerox, client, or external suppliers
  • Attend and contribute in team meetings and/or other meetings as requested by the Team Leader or Mailroom Manager
  • Follow and maintain Xerox Quality Management Systems, including development, maintenance and implementation of continuous improvement procedures
  • Ensure all QHSE policies are maintained and implemented as required to meet the scope of the service operation and to ensure all scanning staff follow the Health & Safety requirements.
  • Manage service deliver to ensure outstanding customer service to the client, customers and visitors to the Mailroom operation
  • Ensure contractual Service Level Agreements are adhered to.
  • Be a customer service champion, take a proactive approach to customer service management and promote good service standards
  • It is expected that the Mailroom Operator will be customer focused and should undertake training and development in both a proactive and reactive manner to meet the needs of the scope of their role and manage their own personal development to allow them to exceed in their role

Person Specification

  • BPSS clearance required
  • Pass a medical
  • One day driving course to gain airside permit
  • Previous experience of working in a similar environment
  • Computer Literate
  • Clear, confident communication skills
  • Customer Service orientated
  • Team player with an enthusiastic attitude
  • UK driving license
  • Good time keeping
  • Observe the dress code at all times full uniform, clean and tidy hair, nails with conservative makeup and jewellery where appropriate. Due to Health and Safety issues no facial piercings with the exception of religious beliefs
