Description
This post covers a specific Integrated Health Community (With a total budget of at least 300 million). Hence this role requires a qualified accountant with significant post qualification experience in order to deliver the role.
The main focus of this role is on ensuring the financial sustainability of the relevant IHC supporting and driving the identification, management and delivery of CIP's and cash releasing savings initiatives.
The post holder is a senior finance professional within BCU Health Board and is expected to contribute significantly to the financial sustainability, financial management and budget strategy of the relevant IHC.
Ensure that the IHC's financial activities and systems are in line with corporate, policies and procedures and meet the highest standards of stewardship and probity to comply with corporate governance requirements.
Directly support the IHC Director and Senior Management Team in the business and performance management of the IHC, actively contributing to
performance review and highlighting early any financial issues which need to be addressed. Attend and actively contribute to the IHC Board Meetings.

The post holder contributes to the positive culture, governance and control arrangements of the Department providing general site supervision as required.
The post provides leadership and professional management of the Divisional Financial Advisor Team, and advises and assists the CFO and Directors of Finance in the development of accounting, budgeting and reporting systems, strategies and plans.
Provides direct support to the IHC CFO and relevant IHC Finance Director.
A strategic and broad understanding of the financial environment that the NHS works within is essential as is an understanding of the full range of services the Health Board offers and how these services are operated in the context of patient need and demand.
