HR Officer

Permanent, Full Time

35 hours per week - (finishing at 1pm on Friday)

£25,000 - £30,000 per annum

Job Purpose:


The HR Officer will be part of a successful and dynamic Human Resources (HR) team with posts in both Bryson Recycling, Mallusk site and Bryson Charitable, Belfast.

The roles will take responsibility for key needs including employee relations, absence management, recruitment and selection and other key initiatives to support the HR team and the business.


An important element of this role will be to support the HR Manager with the delivery of department KPI's and strategic initiatives.

This will require you to work flexibly and collaboratively and in a professional manner to contribute to the provision and development of a broad ranging generalist Human Resource service.


Essential Criteria:


  • Degree in Human Resources related discipline (or equivalent) or have a minimum of 2 years' experience working at a HR Officer level in a generalist role.
  • Experience of employee relation cases, to include, discipline and grievance, and investigation participation
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • High degree of accuracy
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to use initiative
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a busy environment

Desirable Criteria:


  • Comprehensive knowledge of current and pending employment legislation
  • Access to a vehicle for work purposes
