Welder

Temporary to Permanent position for Welder to work on days, Monday to Friday. Hourly rate £ £13.00ph. No transport needed as the factory is a short walk from the train station in Brough.

Company with long heritage in design and producing air brake systems. They have recently taken an additional 19,000sq m of manufacturing and office space next to its existing manufacturing operations. The move prompted by an increase in demand for our innovativeproducts. With the firm enjoying double-digit sales growth last year.

  • Understand plans and requirements for each task
  • Asa Welder you will prepare/cut required shapes and weld according to structure plans
  • Carry out skilled MIG welding work
  • Inspection, diagnosing problems and carry out appropriate checking/testing
  • Inspect welding work and fill/repair as necessary
  • As a Welder you will cut, join and shape metal plate
  • Assemble component parts using appropriate hand/small power tools
  • Help minimise downtime and wastage
