If so, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly-motivated individual to join the IT Training Team at Mid Mersey Digital Alliance.


The appointee would be joining the existing team to support the creation of high-quality training courses to support both the clinical and non-clinical workforce.


This role will enhance existing and develop new learning experiences for our staff and partners, providing challenge and development opportunities.

We are looking for a hands-on, self-starter who is passionate about education and training.

You will possess excellent communication/interpersonal skills.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a role to drive forward digital change within the Trust.

As part of the interview process you will be required to give a short presentation.

  • The IT Trainer will actively participate in IT project implementations and will be required to support project and program golives, ensuring users are trained and equipped to perform their roles fully.
  • This role will be expected to work closely with the Project Team to understand the IT Training requirements and timescales to ensure successful delivery of Trust IT enabled projects.
  • The individual will need to be able to design, deliver and access IT Training in accordance with the required process.

KEY DUTIES

  • Be responsible for the preparation and delivery of highquality training for all staff working in collaboration with other members of the training team, on both clinical and nonclinical systems.
  • Develop appropriate end user training and reference materials.
  • Prepare, document, and maintain all training materials and related documentation and electronic aids including training manuals, certificates, handouts, and promotional materials according to Trust and national standards.
  • Produce relevant training course evaluation activities, including training exercises and tests where required, to be used during training sessions enabling trainees to reproduce workrelated tasks.
  • Present all courses and represent the department in a professional manner, ensuring all queries received are answered to the best ability and any outstanding points raised are followed up.

  • Motivate users who are reluctant to embrace new IM&T skills and use powers of persuasion to enhance the benefits new skills will bring. This will include a variety of staff including senior clinicians and managers.
  • Support systems testing using training scenarios on new releases of IT software.
  • Adopt a positive approach to change management and communicate key business process changes effectively as part of the training and golive support provided.
  • Act as a system champion, super user, floorwalker working onsite with staff who have a wide range of PC literacy and systems experience.
  • Update elearning content to agreed time, and performance measurements.
  • Complete the necessary preparation of training facilities prior to delivery of training courses.
  • Any additional tasks as required by the IT Training Manager.

REPORTING DUTIES

  • To be responsible for reporting status of project deliverables to the IT Training Manager.
  • To provide the necessary information to other project work stream leads on progress and exceptions.
